In between my third and fourth year of university, I had the opportunity to complete a 6 month internship at The ALDO Group in Montréal. During this time I worked on the Ladies Footwear team, focusing on the sport category. I was able to learn about the footwear design process from start to finish and contribute to two seasonal collections. My role included trend and competitor research, sketching and ideation, upper and outsole development, technical drawings, specification packages, and sample corrections.
Below is a project I worked on during my internship where I designed the outsole and upper pattern from sketch to final proto-type, with the guidance of my senior designer. Although this particular style did not make it to market, I am proud of the work that was done and happy with the final result.
